Be specific about the subject
"A woman in a red coat" beats "a person" — models fill in gaps with generic choices otherwise.
Name the style, not just the mood
"Cinematic, shot on 35mm film" gives a model something concrete to aim for; "nice lighting" doesn't.
Keep the model in mind
The same idea can need different phrasing per model — that's why every prompt here has model-specific variants.
Change one thing at a time
When a result is close but not quite right, tweak a single detail and re-run rather than rewriting the whole prompt.
